Position Overview:

The Accounts Receivable Specialist will be responsible for managing the entire accounts receivable process, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices and payments. This role is crucial in maintaining positive cash flow and effective client relationships. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Invoicing: Prepare and send out accurate and timely invoices to clients.
  • Payment Processing: Record and apply incoming payments, including checks, credit card transactions, and electronic transfers.
  • Reconciliation: Perform regular reconciliation of accounts receivable balances, identifying and resolving discrepancies.
  • Collections: Monitor outstanding receivables and follow up with clients to ensure timely payment. Implement effective collection strategies and escalate issues as necessary.
  • Reporting: Generate and analyze accounts receivable reports to provide insights into receivable aging, payment trends, and potential issues.
  • Customer Service: Address client inquiries and resolve billing issues promptly and professionally.
  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline and improve accounts receivable processes and procedures.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with company policies and relevant accounting regulations.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in accounts receivable or a similar finance role.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and accuracy in processing financial transactions.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with clients and internal teams.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret financial data and identify trends.
  • Organizational Skills: Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Team Player: Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
