Salary: $70-80K DOE


One of our retail/consumer goods clients is looking for a CFMG/Pattern Designer to join their team for an exciting full-time role.

This CMFG/Pattern Designer will be part of the CMFG team and responsible for helping develop the aesthetic vision for all of the company's products and identifying key macro trends to develop color/material strategies, create cohesive collection stories, and work with vendors to make those ideas reality.

The CMFG/Pattern Designer will work closely with the VP of Product to coordinate strategic rollouts of new designs and to identify future trends. It's a great opportunity for a designer who enjoys working with a wide range of materials and is interested in material development. The CMFG/Pattern Designer must be a self-starter, flexible, and comfortable in a fast-paced environment.


Ideal CMFG/Pattern Designer candidates will have:
- BA Degree in Industrial Design, Graphic Design, Fine Arts, or equivalent
- At least 3+ years of CMF experience, preferably with experience in consumer electronics, fashion, or accessories
- Ability to create and modify patterns, illustrations and artwork 
- Proficiency with Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.
- Understanding of materials and manufacturing processes
- Ability to present to buyers and to train Sales on trends and new designs
- Strong eye for color accuracy
- Must be able to travel domestically and internationally up to 15% 

Nice to have:
- Experience working with licensed artwork and property
- Proficient with Keyshot
- Licensing experience


Job Responsibilities:
- Forecast trends and build cohesive seasonal collections with supporting evidence
- Build compelling presentations to communicate your ideas
- Work with Design Director and with Merchandising on go-to-market strategies, end-of-life strategies, and channel management
- Collaborate with ID/ME teams to execute your vision
- Contribute to our materials and patterns library
- Generate specification documents for our vendors to execute our designs
- Work with our Operations team to develop new sources for materials and decoration techniques
