Role: Director of Training & Education

Our client is looking for a full-time Director of Training & Education to oversee all training operations in the US market. This role will oversee a growing team of 2 full time coordinators, 4 full time trainers and 8 freelance trainers. The goal of this role is to successfully lead all training operations and education programs in the US and be the point of contact for Paris Headquarters. The ideal candidate is humble, adaptable, has a passion for skincare and a real talent in team management, coaching and leadership. They need to drive a culture of collaboration, communication and respect and have a positive, solution-oriented attitude. This role reports directly to the US General manager with a dotted line to the VP of Sales.

 

Mission Training and Education deployment:

• Responsible for seamlessly implementing new and existing education tools in the market.

• Support US protocol updates/creation and alignment/sharing with France.

• Maintain a comprehensive information system on all education materials relating to product knowledge, display concepts, sales techniques, promotion programs, and system/procedural requirements.

• Initiate the ordering and shipping of all educational materials.

• Manage the online Education Academy for the US and gifts.

 

Strive to optimize the training process and elevate training quality

• Develop a framework for assessing annual training needs and ensuring resource adequacy.

• Schedule local training programs to support sales strategy and objectives; communicate and follow-up with Area Sales Managers to maximize all training programs.

• Ensure all teams are proficiently trained and comfortable operating the training scheduling process.

• Continuously reassess and improve process based on sales and education team feedback.

• Ensure excellence in execution and best in class etiquette and client service.

• Generate education reporting/ROI analysis in line with set targets.

• Implement systematic training reports issuance.

• Seek and continuously develop knowledge and information about competitor activity, pricing and tactics.

• Implement a post training evaluation process.

• Ensure FORBES Training standards are followed and coordinate with managers as needed.

• Define and broadcast virtual training guidelines.

• Responsible for reviewing QA (Quality Assurance) process with operational team.

 

Continuously improve and optimize training operations

• Evaluate freelance contracts, employee performance and assist in budgeting and payroll.

• Manage department travel and expense budget.

• Manage product orders for NY Training Academy, HQ training room maintenance and budget.

• Prepare HQ training room and support trainers in anticipation of office training.

• Oversee ordering, allocation, tracking and availability of products, gifts, samples and equipment.

 

Collaboration/Team

• Collaborate, coach, and develop regional education through personalized feedback, task forces, and development sessions.

• Responsible for the “Train the Trainer” program, ensuring consistent and accurate training.

• Support sales and marketing team in organization of US Summit and Regionals.

• Partner with sales and marketing to align training and events and work towards meeting the objectives.

• Works with Area Sales Teams to evaluate the needs of customers and their staff.

• Be the point of contact for the Paris HQ and work collaboratively to implement programs that work in the local market.

 

Profile

• Highly motivated, energetic, result-driven individual with a strong education and team management background.

• Leadership skills to manage and develop large teams and motivate them to achieve goals.

• 10+ years relevant management experience with a luxury, beauty or/and skincare brand.

• Experience with US retailers and their education platforms/ initiatives is a plus.

• Experience in FORBES Training and/or luxury hospitality industry is a plus.

• Esthetician license is a huge plus, or past experience as a skincare professional.

• Computer skills in Microsoft Office & Salesforce.

• Professional attitude, diplomacy, and an ability to handle difficult situations with respect.
