Title: Field Team & Education Manager (East Coast)


Job Overview:

The Field Team & Education Manager leads and oversees a team of Account executive/freelance team in US retail environment, especially Sephora. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the New York market and maintaining an account call cycle, developing, and managing the freelance field team, conceptualizing, and developing interactive training content and the education strategy to maximize the success of our retail business and talent. This role will act as the liaison to the Wholesale Team by sharing in-store feedback, inventory health, sales trends, and delivering brand messaging. This individual will also be responsible for mentoring and developing Freelancers/Account Executives to achieve their individual goals. This role requires a dynamic individual with strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of the beauty industry, and a proven track record in field sales.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Brand Education + Sales Management Own the New York market and establish call cycle with retail partners to deliver memorable trainings that will drive sales
  • Stay connected to other industry skincare trends/philosophies within the retail and beauty space and proactively keeps up to date on Body-care/Skincare trends of the moment
  • Responsible for achieving in-store monthly/quarterly/yearly sales goals in the US Territories include but are not limited to, Illinois, New York, and Florida
  • Establish and develop strong relationships from store leadership to District Managers and Regional Director
  • Oversee the evaluation of in-store inventory levels for products in the field
  • Constantly evaluate sales results and revise strategy based on successes and challenges
  • Meets with retail teams on a regular basis to assess further opportunities for growth and brand exposure Lead FSC trainings as needed Monitor and control expenses related to the territory (I.e., T&E, freelance) in accordance with the budget
  • Work closely with the Director of Sales & Retail Marketing to: Analyze weekly/monthly/Quarterly sales to develop seasonal plans for retail partners to achieve retail sales goals
  • Develop education content, training initiatives for sales visits, and event proposals and supports
  • Build sampling and gratis needs Team Management Coach, manage, and develop a remote sales team (4+ freelancers and/or Account Executives), help them achieve territory sales goals as well as personal goals and develop a clear path for professional growth
  • Help implement and facilitate a robust, engaging, and dynamic onboarding program for new employees and freelancers
  • Ensure field team schedule calendar is complete 1-2 months in advance, help manage freelance calendar and help deliver the targeted number of events per territory
  • Ensure the field team conducts on-going training on new and existing products based on call cycles Conduct one-on-one meetings with Field Sales and Education Executives to communicate direction, priorities and identify areas of opportunities

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in Field team and Education or related roles.
  • Sephora experience in the US is a must
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with internal teams and external partners.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite Highly organized, proactive, passionate with excellent attention to detail and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and remotely
  • Ability to collaborate and work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Tenacious and resilient self-starter who is able to think outside the box.
  • Passion for skincare and beauty industry trends and products.
