Job Summary:We are seeking a highly motivated and talented Assistant Women's Designer to join our client’s team. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting in designing the product line, preparing sketches, and providing basic specifications of the product. You will work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment focused on creating sustainable products that exceed the customers' expectations.
Responsibilities:
- Research global markets to identify new seasonal trends, silhouettes, fabrics, techniques, and competitive inspiration.
- Assist in developing concepts and sketches for the product line.
- Present design ideas to internal leadership and cross-functional partners.
- Build strong relationships with Merchandising, Production, Technical Design teams to ensure smooth execution from concept to store/site.
- Collaborate with Production and Tech Design teams to create tech packs and communicate vision behind fit and product design.
- Attend fit sessions with the manager and make revisions based on priorities.
- Manage administration tasks related to the design process such as creating presentation boards.
Requirements:
- 1-3 years of experience in apparel design (open to candidates with 5+ years of experience).
- Proficient in Illustrator software for sketching purposes.
- Strong skills in garment construction including tech packing.
- Detail-oriented with excellent time management skills.
- Proactive mindset with a strong ability to work effectively under pressure.
