24 Seven is partnering with a local transportation company based in Portland, OR to help them find a Event Coordinator to join their team in this hybrid position. This is a 12 month contract with potential to extend. While on contract you'd be eligible for benefits.

Job Description 
The Event Coordinator role will be responsible for assisting with the implementation and coordination of experiential events where the brand authentically and personally connects with all audiences with a focus on multicultural audiences. You will join a passionate and tenured group of brand strategists, experiential marketers and other marketers on the Public Affairs team responsible for creating marketplace excitement and driving ridership through breakthrough marketing, differentiated partnerships, and innovative market-wide brand platforms. 

Support and advance strategic marketing promotions plans via experiential marketing and partnerships designed to engage, attract, and retrain new and existing customers with a focus on multicultural engagement in creative, messaging and marketing-communication channels, specifically experiential marketing and community partnerships. Support promotions, events, sponsorships, partnerships and a fully integrated, rider-centric marketing approach utilizing and key messages across marketing channels and customer touch-points. Provide ongoing evaluation of the results of developed marketing campaigns, lead rider focused market research efforts, and incorporate marketing efforts with events, sponsorships and partnerships focused on diverse communities in multiple languages.

This position will report to the Program Manager of Events and Partnerships, and help to build dedicated brand programs articulated through experiential events to engage with multicultural audiences. The successful candidate will work closely with the manager to build and support existing or emerging experiential marketing initiatives and external partnership cultivation.

Responsibilities: 
•    Support the ongoing development, refinement and evolution of the Public Affairs team’s experiential marketing and external partnership strategies through partnerships to drive ridership and fare programs with multicultural audiences.
•    Ensure campaign adherence to policies and processes regarding brand review, legal approval, and compliance requirements.
•    Manage, coordinate and implement/activate event productions including permitting, marketing assets, event site preparation, outreach vehicle deployment and third party staffing to meet department and agency goals. 
•    Provide input and best practices as they relate to communications, outreach and customer experience strategies with multicultural and general audiences.
•    Coordinate third-party vendor and external agency partner staffing tasks to include finance billing, performance reporting, and compliance auditing.
•    Support research of identified priority target groups within multicultural and diverse audiences that are commercially viable. 
•    Support department and agency short and long-term multicultural go-to-market plan via experiential marketing initiatives and partnerships. 
•    Support engagement with internal teams and other community partners to ensure our multicultural promotional strategies align with brand strategy and broader agency objectives.

Qualifications:
•    Bachelors degree in marketing, communications or related fields
•    5+ years of relevant general event/experiential marketing coordination experience and support developing new processes and strategies that will drive ridership and growth within channel marketing programs. 
•    5+ years of relevant experience in event production/experiential marketing, creative and messaging development specific to multicultural community groups, and in multiple languages preferred.
•    Strong event logistic coordination skills with the ability to develop and manage schedules/implementation, timelines, and deliverables.
•    Demonstrated curiosity for industry and category trends along with a deep interest in culture and a pulse on worldwide events and trends.
•    Has knowledge of the histories, issues and trends facing diverse audiences and multi-ethnic communities in the US. 
•    Bilingual in Spanish, Mandarin, Korean, Vietnamese, Russian and/or Ukrainian preferred.
