Temp Sourcing Development Manager - Beauty4 days onsite in Oxnard, 1 remote. 4-5 months.
$50-60/hr.
Job Description
• Responsible for sourcing of all primary components, secondary, and other materials to support assigned new launch and ongoing projects
• Ability to quickly ascertain project scope, requirements and work with suppliers to identify the right products
• Collaborate with vendors to develop creative, customized secondary structures tailored to project requirements to support retail sales objectives
• Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with multiple suppliers
• Strong negotiation skills to ensure optimal pricing, MOQ, payment terms and pricing agreements for all new projects
• Achieve all key project deliverables, dates and project deadlines by working cross functionally with various internal departments to ensure project progression/completion -sampling, testing, qualification, documentation and approval requirements through project completion
• Active participant all cross-functional meetings to communicate progress with respect to sourcing actions to ensure seamless product development and on-time launch.
• Manage all supplier quotes, working with Finance to ensure compliance within cost targets. Collaborate with internal teams and suppliers to generate options for any cost exceptions to achieve target attributes.
• Manage all updates/inputs for all trackers, BOM’s, etc to ensure in compliance with current pricing, specifications, etc.
• Seek new suppliers and packaging opportunities for potential future development
Ideally:
• 3-5 years in Sourcing ideally managing external resources
• Project Management background a bonus
• Strong communication skills -ability to communicate with suppliers, internal team members and throughout various levels of the organization
• Strong organizational skills
